Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 14, 2026
This policy describes how Bodh (the iOS app, created by Kshitij Mokashi) handles your information. The short version: we collect very little, we don’t sell anything, and the things that matter most — your daily reflections — never leave your device.
What we collect
Bodh collects minimal, anonymized usage data to understand how the app is being used and to improve it. This may include:
- Aggregate usage events (e.g. which features are used, app session length)
- Crash reports and diagnostic information when the app encounters an error
- Your device’s operating system version and general device type
We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information. Bodh uses Apple Sign-In, which means we receive only a unique anonymous identifier from Apple — not your name or email.
Your reflections are yours
The daily reflections you write in Bodh are stored only on your device. They are never transmitted to our servers. We have no infrastructure to receive them and no ability to read them. What you write stays between you and your phone.
AI chat
When you use the chat feature, your questions are sent to an AI model to generate a response. These queries are processed by our AI provider in accordance with their privacy policy, but we do not store or log the content of your chat conversations on our servers. We have no record of what you asked.
Third-party services
Bodh uses a small number of third-party services to function:
- Apple Sign-In — for authentication. Governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
- AI provider — for chat responses. Queries are processed to generate answers and are not retained by us.
- Crash reporting — anonymized diagnostic data only, no personal information.
We do not use advertising networks, tracking pixels, or any analytics that build a profile of you as an individual.
Data retention
Because we collect so little, there is little to retain. Aggregate, anonymized usage data may be kept to understand long-term product trends. If you delete the app, your on-device data (reflections, bookmarks, streaks) is deleted with it.
Children
Bodh is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app and you have concerns, please contact us at support@bodhapp.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the effective date at the top. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
